Peta Wet Plate Photo Studio

Peta Photo Studio is now making full use of a technique called wet plate photographs fallen into disuse is a super movable photo studio which goes anywhere in the world.
At the moment of the shooting,We are build up the camera and the dark room, and to create the film of glass plate, and by developing, is the photo studio to complete the photo of the glass which is only one in the world.
Peta and Kanako, we are photographers, founded the Peta Photo Studio in 2014.

2005 Start to work as a Bicycle Messenger in Tokyo.
2006 Move to United States of America.
Start to learn about surviving skills at Arizona local Hunters Camp.
At the same time,begins to record with a photograph of their lifestyle.

2008 in order to review the survival technology, carry out the two months long trail in the winter of the Rocky Mountains in Canada.
after Canada,Move to Mexico again.Learn about Native Maya people's ocean skills at Yucatan local fisherman's camp for a year.

2009 Back to Japan.start to work as a photographer.

Mainly performing Live shooting of music-related, interviews shooting, a fashion shooting.
Join a professional group of space decoration, a member of the Mirrorbowler at the same time.
In various parts of Japan, carry out the construction of objects using a large number of mirror ball.

2014 Start to restoration the Wet Plate Photo Method which is 160ys before people used to take photography.
Peta Photo Studio itself makes a darkroom and a camera at the photography spot.
A film is created on a glass plate, development, fixing, and all the processes are performed, and we pass a photographic subject on that spot.
It is a photograph made of the glass only for one piece in the world.
After a study, we raise the portability of the wet plate photograph technology which opened it movable type the photo studio out in the blue sky that can jorney every parts of Japan.
2015 Feb, We return to hunter's camp in the State of Arizona with this
camera before visited in 2006,And opened Peta Photo Studio made the
portrate of 60 local nations at Maricopa wildness desert.
Jan.2015 we made the special camera used by duralmin case of 30cm x 60cm.
I put my both hands then shooting and darkroom work its all the processing can be done inside of that my original camera.

Mar.2015 Peta Photo Studio has been invited to the festival that takes place in the large-scale commercial facilities
that Osaka Grand Front.
At there we made the special huge camera of 2m x 2m which visitors can go inside the camera.
This workshop was a great success because the visitors can get special experience which is all the process of
photography and mechanism of a camera.More than 6000 visitors came to see this camera for 3days,and over 150persons were photoed in three days.

Oct.2015 Challenged to make huge size of glass films by the huge camera in Tsuzuki ruins park .
And succeeded to make the huge size of glass photo which is 60cm x 80cm.

Continuing, Workshop of Peta Photo Studio in all customers who can join and have experience of unusuall huge wet plate photography.

2017,April. We start to travel around North America.
